About Me
WHAT BROUGHT ME HERE?
Throughout college and my twenties I worked as a nanny. I was both a caregiver and a fly on the wall getting an inside view of the highs and lows of marriage and family life. This work helped me realize I wanted to do more than just provide temporary relief, I wanted to help facilitate change.

As a result of my desire to empower women and my own positive therapy experience, I left a successful career in the corporate world to pursue a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy.

WHY SHOULD YOU WORK WITH ME?
I want to help you mentally, physically and emotionally. That help can look like compassion, curiosity, and tough love, all sprinkled with some humor. I want to help you explore your inner mind, challenge accepted beliefs, and incorporate the breath and body into your healing.

EDUCATION & INTERESTS
As part of my graduate work, I interned at ECU Health, a hospital system serving Eastern North Carolina. I provided therapeutic support and treatment to individuals and their families recovering from strokes, amputations, car accidents and other physical traumas.
Separately, I collaborated with MDs and patients at a medical practice focused on diabetes and weight management. I helped individuals navigating societal biases, mindful eating and body image, sparking my interest in the mind body connection and its influence on our mental health. These experiences are the inspiration for my somatic and holistic (or breath and body) work with clients and my health at every size approach.

I currently volunteer as a Sexual Assault Response Advocate at InterAct and am proud to offer sliding scale services to survivors of sexual violence.
